Nestled on the western banks of Lough Derg, Mountshannon is one of Irelands most beautiful villages, and has an ancient monastic settlement just offshore, on Iniscealtra, or Holy Island as it is known locally. The local festival has been running since 1997. Each year brings a new collection of exhibitions, performances and workshops to inspire and entertain both locals, and visitors to the area.
